M.Sc. Mathematics

The M.Sc. Mathematics program helps the student to enhance logic, quantitative analysis & rational judgments. The subjects offered nurture critical thinking and hence develop the skill of finding efficient ways to solve problems inherent in the chosen career.

In this degree, candidates get a deeper knowledge of advanced mathematics through a vast preference of subjects such as geometry, calculus, algebra, number theory, dynamical systems, differential equations, etc. The students become more skilled and specialized in a particular subject after the master’s degree program.

M.Sc. Mathematics graduates can find opportunities as Cryptographer, Mathematician, Economist, Actuary, Financial Planner, Investment Analyst, OR Analyst, Banking, Data Analyst, Quantitative Risk Analyst, Treasury Management Specialist and Demographer. The post graduates can pursue further studies in M.Phil. and Ph.D.

The Alumni of the Department are well placed in both public and private sectors at various positions.

1. Preference should be given to the concerned subject studied.
2. A Candidate must have passed the 3 years degree course(10+2+3 pattern) recognized by the University.
3. Should have done UG Mathematics.
